Road's End The Gouty Weasel Blather Greg & Marc AGAWorld

An unofficial site

Why AGAWORLD?  I'm an AGA 'wannabe.'  When I first got interested in the AGA, I spent a good deal of time scouring the internet looking for information.  I found it, but not without a lot of effort and a lot of help from other AGA-philes.  I figured that it would be a shame to let all the information I've gathered go to waste...so here's a compendium of what I've gleaned so far. It is not enough!  Hopefully, this will be augmented by the additional knowledge of those who stumble across this site.  If you have more AGA knowledge, pass it on! I'll add it to the site with appropriate references. I'm looking for new ideas, new links, AGA pictures, and recipes!  The one thing about which I am most dis-satisfied in my AGA web travels is the lack of input from people who actually own AGA's...so fill me in!  Fill us all in! any comments would be appreciated...

Start with the discussion boards:

Brian Carpenter runs a good one at: http://pub10.ezboard.com/bagacookerindependantboard. In fact, Brian is an all-around excellent source of information on things AGA.

There is a fairly active mailing list that can be found at Egroups: http://www.egroups.com/group/agalovers.  I like it a lot, and can usually be found wasting bandwidth on it.  Thanks to Bonnie Fleming for setting it up.

Information Sites:

The AGA-Rayburn site.  This is the official AGA site, and it's very attractive.  Might as well start here as anywhere else!

An excellent site with a great deal of information about the AGA.

John Cooper AGA Specialist Reseller East Anglia. Contains interesting bits of AGA trivia as well as a few nice pictures.

"Living with an AGA"...Comments from an  AGA owner

The AGA Shop.  Plenty of pages of AGA information, specifications, prices, and accessories.

The Surf City AGA home page

AGA North America.  They have some very good content ideas, but there isn't much there there...yet

Kitchen-bath.com has a brief review of the AGA

Home & House Online...no new information here, but there are a couple of nice pictures..

Bonnie Fleming has a nice and rather complete site at Agasales.com

You can also take a look at The Renovator Supply Company Limited

An AGA sponsored ad at Oldhouseweb.net

Spillers of Chard.  They have some other interesting range cookers to review as well.
