Few realize that the Gouty Weasel, though unquestionably crabby, is a rodent of deep feeling, wisdom, and insight. It is true, however, that this weasel is a master of haiku, a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Here are a few of his more recent works:
