The Bank of Love

OK, this one is for the men only...ladies please leave the page.  Thank you.  Guys, a word of quick advice.  By the time you're in trouble, it's TOO LATE to try and win her over.  The key to a happy relationship with a woman is to make the effort when you don't need it, so that when you do, it's already there.   Think of it like a bank account.  The bank of Love.  

You start a relationship with nothing in the bank of Love.  Then you start dating.  You pick up the tab at dinner, you open some doors, you call the next day...all the things you're supposed to do, right?  BIG deposits into the bank of Love.  First time you screw up (let's say you inadvertently mention another woman's name at an inopportune time, maybe), you have a chance of surviving, because you have all this capital built in your bank account to draw down on.  But now your reserves are low.  You know you can't screw up again without risking being overdrawn.  What you need is the emotional equivalent of overdraft protection.    How do you get that?  Simple.  Put plenty of deposits into the bank of Love.  Put them in early and often....it will return its value in interest, after all....is the analogy too subtle?  OK, let's spell it out!  Gentlemen:

	Buy her flowers when she'd had a bad day due to someone other than you screwing up
	Say this phrase like you mean it:  "What would *you* like to do tonight?"  Then do it.
	Come to the realization that "just because" is also a valid present-buying opportunity.
	Comment positively  on anything  new/different about her since the last time you saw her.
	Kiss her before you ask "What's for dinner?"

Starting to get the idea?  Good!  Now go try it out.   The more you deposit into the bank, the more you have to draw on, right?  What better way to save for that unexpected late night out with the boys....
