Welcome to my new home here at delemos.net.
I'm sure you'll find some of the other content here just as entertaining
as you have found Road's End, so please
take a look around... after you finish here, of
course! But seriously, take the time to ogle Greg
& Marc, visit the den of The
Gouty Weasel, or better yet, once you've had your fill of reading
other people's opinions, shoot of your mouth in Blather!
It's a regular rant-fest around here...
Here at the end of the road, things don't m ove
as quickly as they do elsewhere...so it's easier to take a really good look at life and ask the hard questions that no one else will dare even think, let alone say...It's not unusual for us to take a stroll off the beaten path of life and talk about the things we find along the way...but be forewarned, once you've come this way, the universe will never look quite the same again...
If you find I've skewed your view, drop me a line and tell me so.

Just what synthesis of
odd influences has created the mind of the Cyberphilospher, and
how can I buy them online to make them my very own? |
|
A worthy question, and one which I intend to turn into an excuse for rampant
commercialism. No one factor is wholly to blame for the current
state of my mind, but I do hold the books of Tom Robbins (particularly
Jitterbug Perfume)
and Douglas Adams (HitchHiker's
Guide to the Galaxy
) in particularly high esteem. On the musical side, I find Miles Davis (Kind of Blue
) and John Coltrane (Giant
Steps
) to be exceedingly inspirational. Visual stimuli which have left a lasting
impression include To Have and Have Not
, Diner,
and Better Off Dead.
Does this mean you should avoid these things if you wish to continue to have a
normal life? Probably too late, anyway, since you're already here. Follow
the links above to amazon.com.
Buy the products ( I get a kickback if you do). Enjoy them. If you
want more ideas on what I think is lots of fun, drop me a line
and let me know.
